Great direct hire opportunity Mortgage Banking Professional to join a growing financial institution in North Texas as their VP, Mortgage Lending.This person must have mortgage banking experience, and have a deep understanding of all aspects of the lending process related to traditional secondary market products AND non-traditional mortgage, portfolio loans. The primary function will be to manage and grow profitable relations through mortgage lending operations to include the day-to-day management of MLO's, Underwriters, and Processors.

Responsibilities and Requirements:

• Manage pipeline, minimize time from application to close.
• Provide oversight for all sales, processing and delivery of loans on secondary market.
• Promoting mortgage lending on the retail side as well as working with Marketing to develop campaigns.
• Act as a product expert providing branch support, which includes fielding questions, resolving problems, identifying needs and providing feedback.
• Ensure compliance with Fannie, Freddie, FHA, and RD guidelines per Investor requirements.
• Meet Federal Compliance for disclosures, RESPA, Reg Z and HUD guidelines.
• Enforce Bank loan policy for “in house” mortgages.

• Experience with developing guidelines, sales strategies, goals, and training programs.
• Ability to implement new processes, develop new business and provide consistent communication with settlement agents, vendors, customers, support staff, and Chief Lender.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business, Economics, or Finance preferred; high school education or equivalent with specialize training in lending focus types required.
• Must be able to meet all Mortgage Loan Offer registration requirements per the S.A.F.E. Act.
• Experience with community banks and/or rural areas preferred.
